By design, the book is enough by itself. It has all of the content and instructions to lead you through the 40 weeks. We recommend viewing the downloadable “Sample Copy” of the book and reading the “Introduction” and “How to Implement” chapters and the “Assignment Overview” documents. If you don’t think the information in these documents is enough for you, the video course may benefit you.

In addition, the videos are helpful to those that want to be encouraged in a personal way along the 40-week journey. Throughout the videos, Jeff connects students to the larger vision of the 40 weeks to give them purpose in the day to day, and encourages them in the fruitfulness of what they are doing. Each video ends with Jeff praying into the topic of the chapter.

The videos follow the flow of the book, so the videos cover the introduction to each module, go through every chapter with some extra content, explain individual assignments, and practically demonstrate how to do the prayer topics that are being read about. 

The video content covers all the same information as the book but gives extra content, encouragement, and helpful demonstration videos. For example, in the Biblical Meditation Module, Jeff demonstrates how to meditate based on each chapter topic and then explains what he is doing throughout the demonstrations. This is really helpful for those that want to know the inner-workings of prayer through visual examples.  

Also, Jeff will be adding videos that go into greater depth on certain chapters or module topics that were limited in the chapter reading. 

You will have access for 12 months. The book will take you 10 months to complete, so you would have 2 extra months of video access.

It is recommended to start watching the Introduction Module videos 1-2 months before you begin the 40 weeks. These videos will introduce you to the vision and structure of the book course and give you ideas on how to set up the course with your group. Beginning early will allow everyone to start with greater strength and focus.
